Swim Practice
2026 Practice Information
Langley practices are divided into groups - please see the group descriptions below to see which is the best fit for your swimmers! If you have any questions about which practices your child should attend, please email Coach Kat at [email protected]
Below are some reminders about practice. Coaches will let you know if your swimmer should participate in the regular swim team, beginner/mini swim team, or should start with group lessons.
- The head coach has the discretion to move swimmers between practice groups into earlier/later practice groups based upon the following criteria: a) swimmer’s ability; b) the number of swimmers in the practice groups; c) the number of available lanes; and d) other special circumstances.
- At practice, swimmers should wear a competition suit (one-piece racing suit for girls, briefs or jammers for boys, no bikinis or trunks as this makes proper stroke work difficult).
- Afternoon practice is intended for swimmers who have a schedule conflict keeping them from attending the morning practice. Swimmers may not attend both practices.
- Swimmers should swim with the appropriate group unless otherwise advised by Coach Kat or Coach Evan. If you have any questions about which practices your child should attend, please email Coach Kat at [email protected].
- Parents should be clear of the deck area during practice. Please save your questions for the coaches until all practice sessions are finished (there is no time in between sessions for questions). We appreciate your understanding.
- Practice and meet schedules are subject to change. The Langley Club will comply with county and NVSL health and safety rules, including occupancy limits at the pool.
